St. Louis County Police investigated a fatal car accident that happened on the afternoon of April 9th, 2016, shortly after 2:00 p.m. The accident occurred at the intersection of Missouri Highway 141 and Burgundy when an SUV was traveling northbound on Highway 141 and struck another vehicle, a sedan that was driving southbound. When the driver in the sedan was attempting to make a left turn onto Burgundy, it was struck by the SUV.
Ebony Franklin, the 26-year-old driver of the SUV was ejected from her vehicle and died immediately at the scene. The second passenger in the SUV during the crash was a 20-year-old female who was ejected as well and transported in critical condition to a local hospital. Fortunately, the third passenger, a 17-year-old teenager was not hurt.
The 18-year-old male who was driving the sedan was also taken to a local hospital and remains in stable condition. Currently, this accident is under investigation by the Bureau of Crimes Against Persons.
